Tension measurement

Correct tension of machine clothing influences performance of multiple interdependent equipment, critical for production rate, reliability and product quality.

If load cells are installed on a PM, the tension values should be taken in account in calculating the load on a bearing unit and consequently the correct display of the unit's life cycle. The relation between load values and vibration level is nonlinear, and insignificant changes of tension values can reduce the unit's performance tenfolds.

If a customer doesn’t have loadcells installed, we can offer our solution, specially designed for PM rolls and characterised by consistently high measurement accuracy over the years.

The price depends on the roll weight, environment (drying/press/wire section) and varies from 5.5 to 20 thousand euro including turnkey installation.
